Sunday, August 23rd, 2009

One of the more recent additions to the mrhill portfolio is on-line boutique for Gemma Holley, a hat maker and designer based in the West Midlands. Her collection of unique millinery is simply stunning and has won her many accolades.

Gemma studied at Loughborough University and Kensington & Chels

ea College and is currently a millinery designer for an accessories company who supply to the high street. She has always maintained a passion for creating unique designs and styles and is looking to promote herself and her own collection.

Her final collection was chosen to be exhibited at the New Designers Exhibition 2004 in London where one of her pieces was then selected to be photographed for a New York fashion magazine. It was her final collection also that gained her work experience with Stephen Jones Millinery where she fell in love with the Industry.

Since then Gemma has gone on to work for the likes of the highly profiled Milliner Philip Treacy, as well as for Edwina Ibbotson Millinery and also Bailey Tomlin.

Her website, www.gemmaholleymillinery.com was designed by NYDP and features an interactive gallery of her bespoke headwear as well as an on-line catalogue of her purses and other items, all with basic e-commerce functionality.

Travelling Bumps

Tuesday, June 9th, 2009

Travellingbumps.co.uk is the latest site to be completely designed, developed and maintained by mrhill.com. It is run by Kelly with the aim of helping pregnant women when they travel abroad, be it for a long weekend or a round the world trip.

Kelly first had the idea for Travelling Bumps when she was about to embark on her own trip around the globe. She got the good news that she was pregnant just a few days before setting off, but realised that it was something she had not prepared for. She was now planning for two, and some of the questions that had been so simple before had to asked again:

  • What clothes should I bring?
  • When am I allowed to fly until on my airline?
  • What about travel insurance?

The idea for Travelling Bumps was born - a website that would offer personalised and detailed advice to women who will be travelling whilst pregnant.

I aim to offer personalised and detailed advice to other women like me who want to travel during pregnancy, whether it be for a weekend, 2 weeks or 6 months, a trip down the coast or a journey across the world. You can be assured that all information comes from a first hand source that has lived and been there - Not an internet site or journalist who does not know you, your journey or your Travelling Bump.

The website will provide a potentially invaluable source of information for any women who will be travelling during their pregnancy.

If you would like to learn more about getting your own customised advice then please get in touch with Kelly at kelly@travellingbumps.co.uk.

Removal boxes and packaging

Thursday, April 23rd, 2009

Generally speaking, transporting anything from A to B is not really regarded as one of life’s more rewarding experiences. Time consuming and laborious are just two terms that spring to mind when someone mentions removal boxes but don’t despair help is at hand.

Boxitmoveit.com specialise in taking some of the strain from this tiring but inevitable function that the vast majority of us will have to undertake at sometime in our lives. Aside from being useful for moving things, cardboard boxes are also valuable resources in terms of storage.

It is true to say that if things are boxed and stacked it can provide a certain peace of mind as well as freeing up some important floor space. Whatever your requirements, whatever your budget, we would strongly suggest that you check out what we can offer before embarking on any removal or storage related project.

To see which of our wide range of products best fits your specifications please take your time to browse our website, if you require any further information please contact us.

Boxitmoveit provides you with the perfect opportunity to get ahead with your packing. We offer a great range of cardboard moving boxes and other items, such as tape dispensers and bubblewrap, that you may find to be indispensable during your move.

Not only do we offer a great range of standard shape cardboard moving boxes, including small boxes, medium boxes and large boxes, we also provide the specially designed archive box. These strong cardboard boxes come with a cardboard lid and have comfortable hand grips cut out on either side.

A new look for mrhill.com

Monday, April 6th, 2009

Mrhill.comAs part of the new approach to new business in the new year, the mrhill.com website has been re-dressed and refreshed to better suit the needs of it’s webmaster - me! The new site also shows off a few of the newer web development techniques that are slowing taking over the Internet.

The first method operates the main navigation of the site, using jQuery to control a page scroll effect. The second technique uses Ajax coding to instantly switch between content in the footer of the site.

Both of these additions to the site help to smooth out the browsing experience from the users point of view. There are no more long waits between pages, and you never see the ugly rendering process of the browser as it works it’s way through the newly loading page.

mrhill.com represents a team of enthusiastic and talented web and multimedia designers with over 35 years of combined experience in the industry.

We are passionate about the positives of the Internet, and what it can do for you and your business.

The new website is a simple approach to simplifying the Internet. Many people are seriously considering using the Internet for their new and existing business ventures, and we want to be there to help them grow their business online.
